Cowell insulted by Viagra ad offer
Simon Cowell has claimed he was offered £1 million
to become the face of Viagra.
The X Factor judge said he was "insulted" by the
request to advertise the erectile dysfunction drug.
In an interview with Glamour magazine, Cowell, 48, said Dannii
Minogue would be better in bed than Amanda Holden and that
Nicole Kidman had no sex appeal.
The acid-tongued judge admitted wearing platform shoes to
make him appear taller.
Cowell said of his own grooming habits: "To me, Botox
is no more unusual than toothpaste. It works, you do it once
a year - who cares?
"I'd never dye my hair, although I know everyone thinks
I do."
He said of Hollywood stars: "The current crop of actresses
- Nicole Kidman and Kate Bosworth etc - they're just nothing.
There's nothing to fancy or fantasise about there. I like
old-school glamour - Raquel Welch and Brigitte Bardot - voluptuous
and naughty. Mistresses."
He revealed that he was put off the idea of marriage to girlfriend
Terri Seymour because women did not have to sign up to strict
rules.
Cowell said: "Last year my agent rang me and said 'You've
been offered an incredibly big (£1 million) deal. It's
to be the face of Viagra'.
"And I just said 'Sorry, but that has to be a f******
insult'."
